Many programs of the PEST groundwater utility suite were written with MODFLOW in mind. This section provides a brief overview of these programs. Some of these programs assist with MODFLOW parameterisation. Others extract history-match-pertinent model outputs from MODFLOW-generated binary files. Others have nothing to do with history-matching at all. We look at these programs first.

Not all of the programs that comprise the groundwater utility suite are discussed in this section. See the three-part manual for the groundwater utilities for a complete listing and description of all programs which comprise this suite.
